WTH Blizz

So... I really hope that what happened over the last 2 days is not a sign of what is to come at Wrath. I may not be getting it the first day, but by the end of the first weekend I will have it and I do hope that it is not like this where I can't sign on at all. I really wanted 350 in enchanting before I headed to Northrend since that is when the skills pick up again (much nicer than having to have it maxed out like in the transition from Classic to BC.

So the point of this post is just for me to bitch about how out BT run had to be postponed since at 11 when I stopped trying the servers were still down. Then they came back up and apparently shit borked with the PvP gear. And everyone and their mother who was on decided to exploit that fact. That is complete bullshit, which caused the server to still be down when I woke up this morning before work.

Why must the world be filled with morons. You know its wrong, you know it will be taken away, so FUCK OFF!

I Am Cat... and Others

1. First, the guild I was in wasn't working, but some of us broke away and reformed. Luckily there was room for a feral druid... as a cat. I know, hard to believe, I was taken aback as well. I was told they had quite a few tanks already, but needed some Melee DPS. Well, I can melee DPS... right? So I went out and spent some Badges, regemmed and re-chanted my old gear. Respeced into something respectable of a cat form DPS role right now. I then went and tried it out. For those interested below is my spec right now for cat at 70.
   
   
   I raided AQ40, BWL, Magtheridon, TK, Hyjal and BT last week. I was pulling ~1400DPS (single target) in my less than respectable cat set (started out with no trinkets for cat DPS... I was laughing) and while trying to figure out a good rotation. I can only see that going up. When rip was up and specced into rend and tear I was able to get 10k+ crits with my Ferocious Bite. I can see this becoming very fun and I plan to stick with it through Naxx. I can't wait. Cat is for fite!
   
   The guild, since being started last week, went on to clear each BC instance completely, except Sunwell. They (I wasn't able to make it) did venture into SW, and tried Kalecgos. Got him to 6%. We are a little undergeared for it, but we plan to try again tonight or tomorrow night before Wrath hits (and possibly after wrath some nights instead of leveling)
   
   
2. Skinning is now 375. First Aid was always 375. Cooking is now 375. Fishing is 225 (just started that quest). And last but not least Enchanting. It is now 325. I am low on funds so am saving a little more before I buy up more greens to DE. I hope to have it 350+ by Thursday.
   
   
3. I have been meaning to mention the weird HUD that showed up under my IceHud since 3.0, but wanted a picture and kept forgetting. So below is a picture of it. I want my IceHud back, but I can't figure out what addon is causing this HUD and thus cannot get rid of it. Any help would be great in figuring out what it is. I have gone through my list of installed addons and can't come up with which one it is that is causing this thing, and I really don't want to reset my UI. I have no patience for setting it up.
   
   It only appears when I am in a hostile zone, or in combat if not in a hostile zone. Not sure if that information helps, but its there.
   
   
4. With Wrath on Thursday I hope I can get it. But I might not be able to get there until this weekend. That will put me a little behind my guild, but hopefully I will be able to catch up. They are a great group who understand that life >> WoW, so if I am a little behind it will be alright.
   
   
5. In unrelated to WoW news. Maeri and I got our pictures back and they are absolutley amazing! As soon as we get them scanned I will post a couple just because I am that happy with them (and I hate all pictures of me before these) and its my blog so I do what I want :D.
   

I think that about wraps things up for now. I will try my hardest to stop these long lapses in postings, but well... life happens.

MT for the Night, the Earthwarden and ZOMBIES!

Well, I was the Main tank for my guild again last night. We did Gruul's and Mag. 1 shot each of them, and it was amazing. HKM I was only at 75k threat or so before they were on him, which is fast considering how my threat generation is now. Gruul was on growth 5, with about 8 seconds until #6. And Mag, he released with about a minute left becasue all those locks holding him down were dead. Caught me a little off offgaurd, but he didn't get to squish anyone before he was mine.

All in all it was great. I even got Mag's head in order to get that nice dps ring. Much better than the Garonna Signet.

Was talking to the guild leader and he was saying that he was impressed I was able to just jump in and tank for these guys. They have been looking for a tank for a while, and since raid night is thursday night (which this semester is the best for me) it works out well. He runs some joint runs with another guild on some other nights for higher end content and he asked me if I would want to join them for OT and maybe some MT depending on how it goes with their normal tanks. So this weekend when I log on, I may be tanking with a mixed run. Made me feel good inside.

My spec isn't optimal though. I like it how I have it built, but some would call me retarded for not having either Beserk or OOC. But I have T4, so OOC isn't that much of a loss. And by not taking beserk I was able to get... something... now I can't remember (stupid work block). I have no problem respeccing if they want me (Port to Moonglade for the win), and I may anyway to try out Beserk, but I think my current spec is just gorgeous without.

Also of note this week is I finally got exalted with the Cenarion Expedition. I know, I know it took my long enough, but I ponied up the dough and bought the 'Warden. Don't really need it, but it is one of those weapons that a druid tank just must have. I can get rid of Braxxis now finally and have a real purple for my mitigation weapon.

I am also really enjoying just travelling around getting the achievments. I am likeing seeing new zones I never went through, or places in them I skipped. Also the dungeons I am enjoying as well since I skipped most of those old world ones when I leveled. It is a nice change of pace.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that there are ZOMBIES! This is an awesome event. The other day my guild got a raid together and we zombie raided Orgrimmar. It was great. Suicide bombing Thrall, and the Battlemasters, and the AH, and the bank. Just awesome.

Well, back to work for me.

Arthas Is Full Of Fail

Now, I don't mean the character, I mean the US-PVP server that is part of the Ruin Battlegroup. Ever since the patch, we have horrid lag, auctions disappearing, world servers exploding, instance servers destroying, toon retrieval failures and for the first time I have noticed, last night, it actually disappeared from the realmlist. Didn't just say offline, or locked, but was actually non-existant.

I, and the others of my server, are not impressed at all. I started to try and get on around 7-730ish realm time last night, and it came back up (as a realm forum post informs me) around 2am realm. And that is how it has been for the most part. The few times I have gotten on, I have done my auctions (not sure if I have lost any... its all trash anyhow though, so not that big of a deal) and signed on to my main, only to get lagged out while in Feralas (trying to get some wolf meat for cooking). It is ridiculous and horrible and makes me mad.

So, I went to download the new Tetris for my Wii. Nintendo store servers swamped and down. So I played some MK:Wii. Just horrible night for my games.

On a good note of the night though, my girlfriend and I went out for some professional photos as our 2 year anniversary gift to eachother (it isn't until Dec 15, but the fall colours rock). We went into the woods near our University, and got some really awesome photos taken. We can't wait to get them back to see them. (Some may even get posted here...). The rain even held off for us the whole time, which was fantastic.

So, that was good, and I had a good meal of pea soup and Pilsbury country biscuits. Such a good meal for a cool fall day.

I swear you will get impressions of everything that is new to WoW as soon as my server decides it will work again for any extended period of time.

Aaaaaannnnnd I'm Back.

And retarded apparently... posting a post with just a title.

Well, School has settled down into a good routine now, and as such so can I.

In wow news, patch day has sucked on Arthas... sucked hard.

I am just into the illusion dust with my enchanting and boy does that suck.

FYI Leather makes a tonne of gold... wow... I loves it. I missed skinning. Kill... skin. Much better than fly around looking for yellow dot. I am happy.

Work sucks, and the work that I left called me back, as I told them they would. Didn't want to go, but am too poor not too. Starving student and such.

School is alright, but I am really sick of it and really don't want to do it for another 2 years (hopefully a little less). I really just want to get on with life and have a job so that I can have some money to go and do things, like travel and have a great time.

Life living with my girlfriend is everything I thought it would be and more. It is great and we are almost at 2 years. It is exciting and I find myself looking forward to going home each day (and not just to sleep, like I used to... to see her) it is great.

Does anyone know how I can change my ports so that I can play WoW at school. My School hates life, and because of that when I am at work, and bored, I also cannot play. It is balls.

It Has Started

Thats right, my 2 RL friends that like to play WoW have come back. One resubbed up his account. The other got a RaF from the other guy (they like to level, I hate it... so we decided this was the best way). No, I have no idea what happened to the RaF recipient's account... maybe his neighbour's cat ate it.

Where did they re-roll you ask? Arthas-H. It is a US PVP realm. High pop for the good world PvP hopefully to take place along with PvE raids to participate in.

The Old Druid will be making his way over there soon (Monday most likely as that will give me time to say bye to anyone one Tortheldrin and I am going away to the girlfriend's Mom's house for the weekend for her birthday (Happy birthday baby-doll!).

What will the Old Druid do while he waits for them? Why be the sugar daddy of course! What do I get in return? Well I may or may not get a 60 pally... who knows right? They are alright right now, signed a charter to leave after the guild is formed for 3g each. And have sold some lowbie crap on the AH. I think they are up to 15g or so.

Their plan is to get the toons they want as their mains to 60 (Shammy to go Resto and a mage to aoe everything it sees) then level any others as they want (after the pally :P)

I have already set up my banker to be able to start getting my AucAdv database filled with data (Primal nethers 20g, Large Prissys are 20g... what a silly economy).

The Old Druid will set up a guild when he gets there. We still need to get a name (any suggestions are welcome) and start getting a guild bank and all that other good stuff a guild needs. Should be a good time. We also need to figure out if the people that used to be guilded with my friends want to resubb and reroll with us. If they do that would be awesome, if not we will need to set up a TS and forum.

So, anyone that plays on Arthas (or the associated battlegroup) that wants to say hello the Old Druid will be there shortly.
